A choice of body styles The Partner Van comes in two body styles: Standard and Long. If you require extra capacity but don’t want to commit to a larger van, Long variants are the way to go. Irrespective of which model you choose, the Partner is big enough to contain a lot of cargo but not so large that it becomes unwieldy in a tight spot. And the vehicle possesses a certain je ne sais quoi that’s very appealing, and helps project a friendly, classy business vibe.
Easy access Standard models feature dual sliding doors on both flanks, allowing you to park on either side or a road and still be afforded easy access. Long iterations, meanwhile, feature a single sliding door on the passenger side. Whichever model you choose, it’ll come with 180-degree-opening rear doors.
Colour co-ordinated The vehicle is supplied with a Bianca White paint finish as standard but if you fancy something a little different, there are a number of optional colours to choose from. For a complete change of tone, opt for Onyx Black or Aluminium Grey. Or, if you require something a little bolder, choose Ardent Red or Night Blue.
Lighting your way Running a successful business is no easy task. After all, you can’t decide not to travel just because the weather is inclement – those items are going to deliver themselves. With this in mind, the Partner is fitted with front fog lights so even if you’re driving in heavy mist or rain, you’ll always be able to see where you’re headed.
A look at the load area All models offer a 1,000kg payload, and if you opt for the Standard Partner, you’ll be presented with a 3,800-litre cargo capacity, as well as a 1.82-metre cargo length. Naturally, Partner Long variants offer even more: as much as 3,900 litres of storage volume and a 2.17-metre cargo length. The other main difference between Standard and Long versions is cabin capacity – the smaller vehicle provides two individual positions while the larger van features a three-seat bench.
Driver comfort It’s important for the person behind the wheel to get comfortable quickly. To that end, all models feature an adjustable driver’s seat and a rake-and-reach steering wheel. A quick recalibration of the respective settings makes it easy to establish a good driving posture, ensuring you’re always ready for the day ahead.
Cabin cubbies There’s more to the Partner than the amount of storage capacity it offers in the back; there are plenty of useful stowage compartments upfront, too. And Long variants come with a Multi-flex layout, which includes a fold-up passenger seat, under-seat stowage space and even a rotating work table.
Audio accompaniment Having something to listen to always makes time spent on the road more enjoyable, which is where the Partner’s eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes in. Whether you’re tuning into a favourite radio station or plugging-and-playing a compatible device via AUX or USB ports, you won’t want for audio entertainment.
Performance We mentioned that the Partner comes in two body styles. Well, it’s also available with two engine options. Standard models are fitted with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, mated to a six-speed gearbox (or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission). Long variants, on the other hand, are powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which is supplied with a five-speed manual gearbox. It’s the Partner Long that delivers optimal efficiency, returning a combined 5.0 litres per 100 km figure, while producing CO2 emissions from 130g/km.
A safe barrier The Peugeot Partner is fitted with a variety of passive protective features and driver aids, and one of the most important is a bulkhead that safely separates travellers and cargo. And Standard Auto models have the added benefit of an opening flap, allowing you to keep tabs on the load bay from the cabin.
Autonomous Emergency Braking Autonomous Emergency Braking utilises forward-facing sensors that constantly analyse the road ahead. If an object is deemed to be too close to the front of a vehicle, an alarm is sounded and maximum braking force is automatically applied.
Parking aid By their very nature, vans don’t naturally make rear visibility all that easy. It’s just as well, then, that the Partner is fitted with a camera system that monitors the rear and rear sides of the vehicle. This means that when reversing, for example, you just need to check the vehicle’s dedicated screen to chart your progress.
