Following the world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show last year, it has been confirmed that the all-new Peugeot 4008 will be arriving on Australian shores in June.
Australia will be among the world’s first markets to introduce the Mitsubishi ASX-based small SUV, with production of petrol and diesel variants set to begin next month.
According to Peugeot Australia boss Ken Thomas, the widely anticipated car could boost local sales by 20 per cent.
"The 4008 allows Peugeot access to the ever-expanding compact SUV segment with a product that’s perfectly suited to today’s active consumer," he said today (February 22).
The Peugeot 4008 is due to be priced below $30,000 and will be offered globally in four engine choices - four-cylinder petrol models with a 1.6 or 2-litre engine, and a four-cylinder diesel model with a 1.6 or 1.8-litre engine.
Few details have been revealed regarding the Peugeot 4008's interior; however it is expected to have a boot capacity of up to 442 litres.
Options are expected to include 18-inch alloy wheels, a reversing camera and keyless entry, along with electronic stability and traction control, ABS brakes and six airbags.
While Peugeot fans wait for the arrival of the all new Peugeot 4008, they can certainly visit Peter Warren Automotive - Peugeot dealership in Sydney to view the current range of Peugeot cars.
