Considered as a Family car which has been in production since 2001, the
Peugeot 307 garnered the title “European Car of the Year”. Until now, the production of Peugot 307 has not stopped despite the launch of the 308 which was supposedly the successor and will wipe out the Peugeot 307. The hatchback production vehicles were first released in European markets in 2001 as 306’s successor. The Peugeot 307s were sold globally in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, excluding Canada. Peugeot 307s were also available in Mexico in a 1.6 and 2.0 liter engines which were all powered by gasoline.
Despite using a bit the platform of 306, the 307 is larger than the 306 in every angle. The design was consistent with the 307 was patterned on the 206 and Peugeot 607 models. The design was about upswept headlights, and a highly sloped windscreen. Having a height of 59.4 inches which lands itself averagely among the small family cars and compact MPVs, the 307 is perfect for families that are not too small and not too big. The 307 has a long front end because of its wedge shaped body. The Peugeot is a four door vehicle making it a family car.
Revised or reworked to compete with the rivals, the 2005 Peugeot 307 changed its style and provides more air intake like the Peugeot 407.
